Chiropractic literally means ‘hands-on treatment’.
It’s the third-largest medical profession after medicine and dentistry.
Chiropractors specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of all joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves, especially spinal conditions. Chiropractors use short lever manual adjustments (manipulations) to release the pressure or pinching of a nerve, thereby reducing pain and restoring mobility.

Past studies from the BMI have concluded that chiropractic treatment is 75% more effective than hospital outpatient treatment care only. It is effective at relieving lower back pain and alleviating the symptoms of other conditions afflicting your bones, joints and soft tissue. Our youngest patient is just 3 weeks old and our oldest is nearly 100 years old.
Most of our patients find adjustments to be pleasant, relaxing – even invigorating.
It’s natural to assume that if a joint hurts, moving it would cause more pain, but the reverse happens.
A chiropractic adjustment is like removing the weight of a heavy box that has fallen on your toes – an instant relief. You may experience a slight soreness of the supporting muscles the next day, which resolves quickly. This is completely natural because your muscles are retraining with the realigned joints.
